About us
A Growing Place Philosophy
We believe that children learn best through play. Our purpose is to provide a warm, inviting, and well-equipped setting where our students are free and safe to play and learn. The equipment and the program are both selected and planned to stimulate social, emotional, intellectual, and physical growth. It is our hope that the students’ experiences at AGPP will lead them to feel good about themselves, promote satisfying friendships, and help prepare them for dealing with their expanding worlds.
Our Programs
3/4 and 4K Programs
3/4 Year Old Preschool
The curriculum is planned by the staff and is developmentally appropriate for children 3-5 years old. The curriculum provides experiences in cognitive, intellectual, and social/emotional development.
3/4 Year Olds – Green Class
Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays

4 Year Old Kindergarten (4K)
Get Together for Kids (GT4K) is a community based preschool program for 4-year old children residing within the DeForest Area School District. AGPP offers both morning and afternoon sessions of 4K at our Holum Education Center location (HEC). AGPP also offers a two day full day program at the St. Olaf location.
The program uses the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards as a guide for curriculum and planning, and also utilizes Creative Curriculum as its foundation. Supplemental curriculum includes the Houghton Mifflin “Big Day” thematic curriculum series, Everyday Mathematics, and Second-Step Social/Emotional Curriculum.
All of our 4K sections follow the DeForest Area School District required curriculum and are lead by Wisconsin Department of Instruction Licensed Teachers.
Please note students must be registered with the DASD and will be enrolled into the GT4K program via the school district.

While AGPP maintains a great working relationship with St. Olaf Catholic Church and continues to rent space in the parish building for over 40 years.
